FREE public transport to/from Bellinzona throughout Ticino

Thanks to an agreement with the Comunità Tariffale Arcobaleno, all registered participants of BELLINZONA CASTLES & GO can travel for free this year in 2nd class on all public transport within Canton Ticino belonging to the Arcobaleno network (SBB-TILO-FLO trains, PostBus, TPL-ARL-ABL-AMAA-FART buses, SNL boats, funiculars, etc.).
 
For participants coming from nearby Italy, this means that once you leave your car at the border or reach Chiasso by train, your journey to and from Bellinzona is free of charge. You won’t need to buy a ticket; if requested, simply present your registration confirmation for the “Most Medieval Race on Earth!”.
 
The same applies to participants coming from north of the Gotthard.
 
In general, those travelling by train will only need a connecting ticket to the Ticino border.
 
This promotion, allowing free travel on public transport within the cantonal borders, is valid exclusively on the day of the event: Sunday, May 31, 2026.
